Thoughts about Pre-Cana

Da-da. Another task accomplished. The pre-cana. It was a requirement for catholics before the wedding. We were there with other engaged couples, listened to speeches about communication, finance, sexuality, and spirituality. Everything said was expected. It's always harder to act the way we should than we want to. I don't really see any impact on our lives yet, maybe I'll start to learn more after we get married.

I miss my little black cat

Both Katluk and Hsiang Wei showed me pictures/video of their pets recently. That reminds me of "pound pound" and "little black". I wonder if "little black" is still alive? Is he living in a loving family? Does he have children now? I missed those times when he jumped up to the futon and sat next to me and when he meow meow to bag for food. It was interesting to watch him chasing the laser pointer, and how he'd leave the dry food alone and wanted more delicious food. I guess I'm not only missing my kitties, I'm missing those days when we were younger, we had a different point of view on everything, and we didn't know what are going to happen in our lives.

I heard "Those were the days" again today at Walmart. Love the lyrics so much.

Those Were The Days Mary Hopkin

Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
Think of all the great things we would do

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...

Then the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If by chance I'd see you in the tavern
We'd smile at one another and we'd say

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
La la la la...

Just tonight I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
La la la la...

Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
La la la la...

March is here!

March is here! I'm ready for spring and say goodbye to the snow. Despite the snow storm on Monday, the weather has been nice. Life in NJ is so far so good, and I'm finally a pharmacist.
